Note: Barrows equipment is members only.                                                                           Welcome to the Barrows Armour guide!                                                                                       This guide will help you decide which armour you would like to choose.                                           The Barrows Equipment was added to RuneScape on 9 May 2005.

Basics

First of all, there are 6 kinds of Barrows armour:

-Ahrim the Blighted       stats      prices          (Mage)

-Dharok the Wretched  stats        prices         (Meele)

-Guthan the Infested      stats        prices          (Meele)

-Karil the Tainted            stats        prices          (Ranged)

-Torag the Corrupted    stats        prices          (Meele)

-Verac the Defiled           stats         prices         (Meele)

How to get it

There are 2 ways to get Barrow equipment:

-Get it from Barrows mini-game;

-Buy it from another player.

For a guide on how to get them, click here.

Click here to know where to get it.

Characteristics

The Barrows Equipment has good and bad stats, so they balance their power:

- The good is the special attacks, which I will talk further in this guide.

- The bad is that you have to repair it after 15 hours of massive fighting.

They can also only be traded when they are in best condition or totally damaged.

You can repair Barrows Armour at Bob, the axe seller in Lumbridge, Dunstan in Burthorpe and/or Tindel in Port Khazard.

The costs of repairing are:

·  Barrows Weapons: 100k

·  Barrows Bodies: 90k

·  Barrows Legs: 80k

·  Barrows Helmets: 60k

When they can be trade, they will appear as Barrow (X) and nothing after it or Barrow (X) 0%.

When Barrow (X) 100% is; 75% or 25%, it means it’s damaged and you can’t trade it.

Note: -The weapons are all two-haned

-Karil equipment require special arrows, named Bolt Racks which can be bought in Port    Phasmatys, from the Samurai.

-The Bolt Racks can only be used once, not like normal arrows that can be picked up and re-use

Brother's Barrow:

Barrows Tunnel:

Guide on how to get them

Note: I recomand at least 90 combat, as the monsters are outrageously strong (some of them can hit up to 50-60!), there is no places to Range/Mage them, without being attacked (unless you trap them by getting a player in front of them), you should also have good specialityes at at least two skills (i.e. Ranged&Meele; Meele&Mage; Mage&Ranged.). Ahrim also uses Weakenning spells on you. All the brothers lower your prayer points very fast. Also if you get angered easly, this is not the place you should be, reasons: you can die very fast, a piece of barrows armor is a very low chance to get.

Items you should bring: A spade, Teleport runes (THIS IS A MUST, YOU HAVE THE MOST CHANCES TO DIE!!!!), Super set, Stat restore Potions, Prayer Potions, Food (not recomanded food lower than shark), The best armor you can afford and the best weapon you can afford (Is recomanded that you bring armor and weapons of two of your best combat skills, so you can balance the Combat Triangle), Ring of recoil (Note: Ring of wealth wont help on getting the better items, as they are not a monster drop!), Fury or Glory amulet, And a druid pouches to save the food from being rotted by ghasts. You may also want to get a Crumbling Tome, from the guy standing in the Barrows Graveyard. It will help you get better items.

The quests you need: Priest in Peril, to have acces to Canifis, In search of Myreque, for easy way from Canifis to The Hollows, Desert Treasure for easy teleportation spots (Ancient Magicks), and Nature Spirits quest, for Prayer altar.

Possible rewards: All kind of missile runes, coins, or sometimes a part of half key, Dragon items such as med helms, and the most wanted, a piece of Barrows armor.

Speculation on how to get better rewards: If you expect good stuff, then you most likelly will want to kill all the six brothers. The better the kill cound you have, the better the reward may be. Also, if you get a Crumbling Tom , you will have a better chance on getting good items.

Place: You need to cross a bridge, East of Mort'Ton. For a map click here.

Once you get there, there are six mounds, each containing one room, where you can find one of the brothers. One of the room, will have a tunnel to the instead of the brother, each time you go there, the tunnel will change its room (starting point). You can find the 6th brother in this tunnel, among onther agressive monsters. I recomand you kill all five brothers before proceeding into the tunnel, as you get a better chance for finding a barrow equipment piece. Click here to get to the map where they are each placed.

To enter to one of the rooms, you will need to stand on the top of the moud and dig with the spade. Once you killed the ammound of brothers you wanted, go into the tunnel.

The tunnel is a labirint, consisting on 9 square rooms (3x3), and 4 long halls, one of each site, connecting the 1st and 3rd room. The middle room is the one that contains the chest, when opened, you can get your reward.View it here.

You can also find many different beasts in these rooms, like Rats, Bloodworms, Spiders and Skepetons, who can hit up to 10. In one of the rooms, you will most likelly find the last brother. You also encounter some puzzle doors, which, you will need to answer correctly, the door will change to a random side of the middle square if you answer wrong. The room will start shaking, and you will get damaged, unless you find the puzzle door again, and answer correctly. Dont worry, the puzzles are very simple.

Note: After you open the chest, everything will be randomyzed, and the kill count set to 0, so most likelly, you will want to teleport.
